This started as a piece for Amp Woodstock...which so did not make it to the due date. (September 5)
I had so much work to do so I couldn't finish it. So i vowed to finish it on sembreak! Since the Woodstock gallery wanted pieces that express Filipino Idiosyncrasies/ Icons or anything that can be related to the Filipino culture, I drew a street scene with a main theme being: Jaywalking. With that center theme, i included minor icons that relate to us being Filipino too. Like Jollibee on the truck, Chocnut, the pink fences, the beetle car...the bribing, texting, fishballs. Heh. Used lotsa references and practiced perspective again! must hone skillzzzz! Done with: Prismacolor pencils at the start and Derwent pencils in hte end. |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
